The Chesapeake Bay's Fish-Garbage-Disposal (Hailey Hill)
Brought over from the Mississippi River and similar river systems and estuaries, the Blue Catfish was introduced to the Chesapeake Bay for local anglers and the recreational fisheries. These fatass fish eat everything in sight, your common fish-garbage-disposal. These fish were introduced to the bay in the 70s but were only defined as an Invasive species in 2011. These fish have contributed to the decline of important species in the bay, like American Shad, Blue Crab, Striped Bass, and other herrings.
Blue Catfish are omnivores and eat everything in sight. From fry to juvenile, they typically eat vegetation, then as they mature from juvenile to adulthood, they begin to eat other organisms. These fat-fucks can get up to 100lbs and 5ft long. They're recommended if you catch them to eat them, but if you catch them over a certain size, they're basically radioactive. Yeah, dude. These fish are so big and fat that once they get to a certain size, they're unsafe to eat. They get so large that they just continue and continue to accumulate toxins in their bodies. They're literally radioactive fatass fish.
Not only do these fish ruin ecosystems and destroy populations of native species, and ruin native ecosystems, but they're also unsafe to eat over 30 inches when they can reach a size of five feet. They're so cute, but they're evil.
