Garden Atrium Way- Emma Schlosser

So many of us are walking through life knowing that pollution exists and is essentially everywhere. However, I think it always sneaks up on us with the things we would least expect, the things that blend into regular life. When we visited and were visited by the people who came up with Garden Atrium Way, some things were certainly surprising to me. Who knew that so many of our clothes, carpets, and paints were slowly poisoning us?? The fact that our paints and fabrics off-gas for 10 years after being painted/treated is pretty horrifying to me. It was also encouraging in a sense, though, because in learning things, we also learn that people are dedicating their lives to making living more sustainable AND healthy. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and would live to visit again, I have told so many people about how amazing their concept of living is. I still wonder, cost wise, how we can get these things implemented on a large scale. Especially because, the people most effected by these environmental issues are the ones who may not necessarily have the money to pay for the health repercussions of things like air quality and the lack of green spaces or the help in limiting them in the beginning.
